The Yarny Way Dispatch – August 2025 Edition

We opened our doors on July 2, and it’s been a whirlwind of yarn, laughter, creativity, and connection ever since. From our cozy Friday meetups to new yarn arrivals and exciting events on the calendar, we’ve got lots to share in this month’s Dispatch!

Friday Craft & Chill: A New Tradition

If you haven’t popped in yet for Craft & Chill Fridays (3–6 PM), we’d love to see you! It’s free, relaxed, and full of good vibes. Bring your WIP, sip some tea, and hang with fellow yarn-lovers. It’s become the highlight of the week for many of us. Check the calendar and reserve your seat. 

Goodbye Plushies, Hello Planet Plush

We shipped out a whole box of plushies to Kerrville (they were very huggable)! And the Planet Plush vibe just keeps growing:

August Charity Focus

We’re making hats for babies in the NICU at UMC. You can help!

• Use any baby yarn—cotton or acrylic only (no wool)
• Free Bernat Pattern Links: Knit | Crochet
• Shop yarn suggestions: Cherub Aran – super soft + perfect for preemies, Cascade Ultra Pima
• Drop your finished hats in the bin at the shop during regular shop hours.

This effort was sparked by a local customer who works in the NICU and mentioned how much these handmade hats are needed. Let’s show the love!
