3/2/20 Pattern updated to reflect changes in the ears.
Inspired by a special request from my niece and her husband who wanted a special “Yoda hat” for their newborn baby boy. I was given a picture and did research and found a pattern on Pinterest of course, which I immediately started. The hat part went fairly smoothly, the ears took a few tries, but I finished and the result as you can see turned out great. I took the liberty of copying the pattern and made a pdf for easy printing, giving Laura B the credit of course–it’s not my pattern!

The yarn I used: Lion Brand Vanna’s Choice in Dusty Green – 1 skein cost about $3
Thank you for the pattern! I used this as a basis in creating my baby’s yoda hat for Halloween. I just extended it a little bit more since he is bigger. My husband loves it! 🙂
That’s awesome! I would love to see a picture of your yoda hat 🙂
OMG! This turned out so stinking cute! Now my friends want one for their grandbabies
I found that the pattern was missing a step. As written, I was getting big holes at the end of each round. You need to add a slip stitch to close each round.
Sorry for the delay in responding to you. Thanks for the feedback! The original pattern and any notes or revisions can be found here. http://simplestitchescrochet.blogspot.com/2014/10/free-pattern-yoda-baby-hat.html
