I think this might be my new favorite crocheted blankie! It’s not for me but for someone very special. The notorious Race to Finish Crochet Lapghan! Gosh, I love it. When you want something soft and slightly weighted to cozy up with, before I package it up for shipping, I thought I’d post here so you (and I) have a record of my project completion.

Free Crochet Pattern
Materials
- Caron® One Pound: 3 balls, 1 of each color. I used White, Azure, and Sky Blue.
- Crochet Hook size J (6mm) – Susan Bates is my favorite 🙂
Finished Blocked Size: 33″ x 40″
Notes: This lapghan consists of 5 panels created individually and then crocheted together, so there is no sewing panels together, which is fantastic. We all know having a hook in your hand is more fun than a sewing needle, right? I counted 53 shells in each panel to keep things straight 🙂 You could make this as long or as wide as you want to. Also, as a side note, I crocheted the first border around the shell panel on the “wrong side” and decided it was fine, so all of them are that way. Just a reminder that a beautiful thing is… never perfect 😉
It’s an easy-to-remember pattern with a beautiful mix of textures.
Now that this is done, I must make another one for me! 😀
