Is your yarn shelf overflowing with beautiful skeins you once adored but never used? Or maybe you’re craving something new without adding to the budget? Join us for The Yarn Exchange at The Yarny Way — a friendly, fair, and fiber-filled event where makers can bring their extra yarn and trade it for something fresh!

How It Works

• Check-In & Drop-Off: Bring up to 10 clean, labeled skeins (or partials clearly marked with yardage/fiber content).
• You’ll receive 1 Galaxy Token per skein — your cosmic currency for trading!
• Browse & Swap: Once all yarns are displayed, the exchange begins!
• Each skein “costs” 1 Galaxy Token. Trade freely and follow your fiber feels.

Donation Station:

Have yarn you’re ready to release without trading? Drop it in our Community Yarn Bin to support local charity projects and beginner class kits.

Entry & Donations

We’re suggesting a $5 donation to help cover setup, tea/coffee, and event hosting —
or enjoy free entry with any $10+ shop purchase on event day!
All donations go directly toward future community events and programs at The Yarny Way.

For every skein you bring to The Yarn Exchange, you’ll receive one Galaxy Token to trade for another maker’s treasure. When you’ve found your new favorites, please return your tokens so they can be used again at future swaps

Event Guidelines

• Clean, odor-free yarn only please (no mystery fibers or mothball smells).
• Yarn must be in usable condition (skeins, cakes, or well-wound balls).
• No needles, hooks, or notions this round — we’re keeping it all about yarn!
• Leftovers will be donated or used for community craft kits.

Make It Social

• Enjoy complimentary tea and coffee while you browse.
• Stay to chat, stitch, and show off your swap scores — we’ll have a cozy corner ready for impromptu Craft & Chill time.
• This is a community event — open to knitters, crocheters, weavers, and all fiber lovers!
