Stitch & Story – March 4, 6:15pm on Zoom

This month’s Stitch & Story gathering takes us across the African continent.

We begin in West Africa with the clever spider trickster Anansi, rooted in Akan oral tradition. Then we travel south with two stories from Nelson Mandela’s Favorite African Folktales:

  • Asmodeus and the Bottler of Djinns
  • Sannie Langtand and the Visitor

These evenings are relaxed and welcoming. Stories connect us. So do stitches.

Ongoing Favorites

  • Sock Sector Sundays
  • Craft & Chill Fridays

Bring a project. Sit awhile. Enjoy a bit of yarny talk.

Welcome Vela & Everyday Orbit

This month we officially welcome Vela. Vela is a southern constellation represented by a ship’s sail. A symbol of movement. Forward motion. Fresh direction.

It feels right. As Vela rises, we say farewell to Planet Plush. It served us well. Thank you for the cozy months.

Watch for new arrivals in this evolving category — including approachable garment yarns and versatile everyday blends designed for wearability, durability, and comfort.

👉 Read the full Vela announcement here.

New brands and textures are coming soon. Stay tuned for each constellation arrival.

Customer Makes

The photo gallery continues to grow, and it fills my heart every time. Your sweaters. Your socks. Your blankets. Your first stitches and your bold experiments. If you’ve finished something, bring it in. Let’s celebrate it.

Crochet Mending Services

Heirlooms deserve a second life. Nakira recently helped restore a beloved granny square blanket so it could be displayed again with pride.

💛 Last But Not Least. A Note of Gratitude

Every month I’m reminded why I opened this shop.

People come in to learn. To try something new. To sit quietly. To talk. To feel seen.

That matters.

Thank you for supporting this small, local, woman-owned business. Thank you for trusting us with your time and your creativity.

We’re building something meaningful together.

See you soon in the shop.
