Description
Named for the Two Lands that inspire its creation, Malabrigo Dos Tierras unites 50% fine Uruguayan Merino wool with 50% Peruvian baby alpaca to create a DK-weight yarn that is truly greater than the sum of its parts. The Merino provides strength and crisp stitch definition, while the baby alpaca lends a silken hand and graceful drape.
Spun as a balanced 4-ply, Dos Tierras takes on Malabrigo’s signature kettle-dyed hues with exceptional depth and dimension—from softly shaded neutrals to brilliant variegated color stories. Each 100-gram skein offers 210 yards (193 m) of plush, breathable warmth ideal for sweaters, scarves, wraps, and textured stitches alike.
Because each skein is hand-dyed, subtle variations and unique tonal shifts are part of its beauty. For best results, alternate between two skeins every few rows.
