Simple Chunky Knit Hat

Simple Knit Hat

This pattern works up quickly and doesn’t take much yarn. In fact, if you’re like me you might have some chunky yarn in your stash left over from other projects and that is exactly how this pattern was born. It’s worked flat, then sewn up the back. Easy peasy!

Now available EN FRANCAIS (FRENCH TRANSLATION)

Materials:

  • US Size 13 (9mm) knitting needles
  • N Crochet hook (for optional border). I found that by adding a border the hat got a “slouch” appeal.
  • You’ll need scraps of bulky weight “5” yarn. Here’s what I used:
Lion Brand Wool Ease Chunky in Fisherman
    Bernat Softee Chunkyin Natural
Loops & Threads Cozy Wool in Claret
Loops & Threads Cozy Wool Mushroom

Based on how much you have and how you want the stripes (or not) to be you can make it up as you go!
