Granny square cacoon shrug

one big granny square

This granny square cacoon shrug was inspired by a pin my daughter sent me. The beauty of this pattern is that it’s easy to do and easy to make in your particular size!

Simply start with a crocheted granny square and keep growing it until it’s about 105cm wide. Then fold it in half and sew up each side to about 7 inches from the end (arm hole opening)

Then go around the opening with a border as big as you want and around the arm holes as big as you want. That’s it!

You’ll get the idea from the photos here. There’s no real pattern but for reference here is the post by Maria Valles that I used as a guide.

I used 6 skeins of Lion Brand Heartland yarn in Great Smokey Mountains and a size I crochet hook.
