My Sunday Shawl

My Sunday Shawl

I began following The Little Bee (Alia Bland) from New Zealand on Instagram after seeing so many beautiful renditions of her Sunday Shawl pattern there.

One day she offered a discount, so I purchased the pattern on Ravelry and saved it, waiting for the right color inspiration to hit me. It wasn’t until my daughter gave me Heartland yarn for Christmas that the color choices became clear. For my first Sunday Shawl I chose to use the Lionbrand Heartland yarns. I only picked five colors. The pattern allows for 8. The main color I used is Grand Canyon, the accent colors are Redwood, Yellowstone, Joshua Tree and Black Canyon. My inspiration? Bob Marley colors – red, green, yellow and black.

The was a super fun pattern and pretty easy to make. The only challenging row was the last one with the little picots, but I got it! 🙂

The instructions are easy to follow and very well illustrated! You can purchase the pattern on her Etsy store @theLittleBeeNZ, or through Ravelry.

Love love love this shawl and look forward to making more!
