The Little Bee’s Crocheted Monsoon Stole turned Shrug

Crocheted Monsoon Shrug

A variation of the Little Bee’s Monsoon Stole.

As you may know, I’m a big fan of the Sunday Shawl by Alia Bland (The Little Bee) I have crocheted several! So when I saw her Monsoon Stole crochet pattern on Ravelry I had to give it a try. I followed the pattern but changed it just a little, by adding an extra 30 stitches so it would be wider when worn.

Well, lots and LOTS of tiny stitches later ( and a bit of frogging ) I ended up with a nice big rectangle and thought it would make a great shrug! So I stitched up seams on both sides and voila! This crocheted shrug stays on my shoulders, is really light and warm and soft and I can also wrap it around my neck if I want to wear it as a cowl.

I think this is a fun and funky piece. For me it was a bit challenging too which I liked. I learned some cool new stitches!
