Who doesn’t love a knitting pattern that is easy to follow, uses under one skein of yarn, and can be completed in an evening while watching TV? Not to mention it makes a really great gift! Now for the colder weather to get here so this handknit beanie can be really put to use – especially while sipping a hot chai latte. Mmmmmmm.
The knitting pattern, designed by Kalurah Hudson (While They Play Designs), requires one skein of chunky yarn, Size US 13 & 15 knitting needles, and an optional pompom. So the choices of yarn are many! You could choose to use one of the many colorways from Lion Brand® Wool-Ease Thick and Quick series, or more luxurious merino wool such as Baah Yarn’s Sequoia from your local yarn shop. Both skeins measured right at 85 yards. I love how both hats turned out, but honestly, I do love the lightweight soft, and warm feeling of the Sequoia yarn best 🙂
