Crocheted Dreamcatcher

crochet dreamcatcher

Inspired by Pinterest, I found a beautiful simple crocheted doily pattern and gathered some fabric scraps together to create my very first dreamcatcher!

The project was originally posted by Toni Lipsey on fibreshare.org – you’ll find a link to the doily pattern by Olga Poltava here: http://lacycrochet.blogspot.com/2013/05/small-flower-doily-my-first-written.html. I discovered her Etsy shop full of cute patterns and items for sale here: http://www.etsy.com/shop/olgascrochetfrenzy

I love seeing this hanging on the wall! I used a worsted weight cotton yarn, a J hook, and a 12″ embroidery hoop. The rest of the dream catcher consists of fabric I had left over, some feathers I purchased at Michael’s, and some yarn scraps from my stash.

This would be a fun project to do put together with kids because they could help assemble it!
